Today we read with our buddy classrooms and had a few visitors from the Johnson County Sheriffs Department read to our preschool classrooms. We've loved America Reads Week.

We have another member in the Birthday Book Club! This kiddo celebrated his birthday by donating a book to the Lakeview Library. Check out our March newsletter to learn how your child can celebrate in this way too!

Yesterday half of our kindergarteners went to Wikiup Nature Center to enhance their science unit on animals and trees. We also had fun reading with flashlights in the building! Another great day of learning at Lakeview!

The Solon Community School District is on a 2 Hour Delay for Friday, February 20, 2026. No morning activities. Before and After School Program is also on a 2 Hour Delay.

Thank you so much to all of the volunteers that made the Lil Xmas Shoppe 2025 such a success. Seeing the kids pick out gifts for their loved ones is such a joy each year!

We had such a fun time celebrating earning 1,500 Spartan head tickets for accepting adult directions. Pajamas, a movie and popcorn is the perfect way to end a week of hard work. A HUGE shoutout to the Solon American Legion Post #460 for the donation of popcorn!

We started a new tradition today at Lakeview.. our first ever Candlelight Thanksgiving Lunch. Kids and teaches enjoyed lunch together with table clothes, candles and soft music! What a fun way to head into Thanksgiving Break. So many smiles and laughs.

It's such a special day when we get to have breakfast with our favorite people! Thanks to all that came to Breakfast with a Buddy today!
