The Solon Fire Department joined us on Monday to teach us about fire safety. We love connecting with our community!
A huge thank you to the Solon High School Cheer team and coaches who put on the Cheer Clinic last week. The kids had so much fun practicing after school and then getting to perform at Spartan Stadium. GO SPARTANS!

BG, KB and KC had an amazing time at Buffalo Ridge Apple Orchard and Pinicon Ridge Park on Tuesday! They got to put the learning they've done about apples and plants into action. They got to taste lots of apples and see where the apples we eat at Lakeview actually come from!

2D finished their New Perspectives Math unit Bead, Shoes, and Making Two where they explored counting and number sense. Friday they made bracelets that students designed during an investigation on making doubles and odd and even numbers.
In kindergarten they are practicing our whispering, speaking, singing, and calling voices with whisper phones. "Going on a Lion Hunt," was a perfect song to practice our many voices.
Each day classrooms across Lakeview, students engage in listening to all types of books, responding to what they hear and making connections to what they are reading about. Readers are Leaders!
Kindergarten through 2nd grade students visit one special a day to foster well-rounded development beyond the core subjects. These specials include Art, Music, PE, Guidance and Library.

Once a month Ms. Kendalyn goes into classrooms and does taste tests. These range from new food on the lunch/breakfast menu to fruits and veggies. This month classes are trying broccoli and learning how it grows.
