In kindergarten they are practicing our whispering, speaking, singing, and calling voices with whisper phones. "Going on a Lion Hunt," was a perfect song to practice our many voices.

Once a month Ms. Kendalyn goes into classrooms and does taste tests. These range from new food on the lunch/breakfast menu to fruits and veggies. This month classes are trying broccoli and learning how it grows.
Thanks Ms. Kendalyn and the Nutrition Department for these fun, enrichment activities.

Lakeview students have been working hard during the first month of school to learn and practice all of the expectations in and around our building. Each classroom has been working to fill an Expectation BINGO board with a BLACKOUT!
This week they are celebrating their hard work with popsicles and an extra recess. Way to go Lakeview Leaders!

Parent Drop Off and Pick Up REMINDERS

Parent Morning Drop Off

DROP OFF STARTS AT 7:55am. WE DO NOT HAVE SUPERVISION PRIOR TO THIS!

Be mindful of all crosswalks and drive slowly as children may be crossing.

Please remember if you are dropping off in the drop off lane this is for parents who are not getting out of the car. This lane must keep moving in order to accommodate all traffic. If you plan to get out of your car you will need to park in the parking lot to keep the drop off lane clear and moving.

If dropping in the drop off lane please pull all the way up to the office doors and let your child out. They will then walk along the sidewalk to the open doors for arrival.

After THIS WEEK, we will ask students to walk into the building independently as we work to build these skills.

Parent Afternoon Pick Up

ALL students will be standing, by grade level, on the south side of the building. Parents can pull up to a cone and their child(ren) will be brought to their vehicle by a staff member. If you are the first car in line please pull up to the very first cone in the pick-up line. Each subsequent car should pull up to the subsequent cone to ensure safety of our students and staff.

Please wait for a staff member to bring your child(ren) to your vehicle. If needed, please pull forward and park on the side to buckle your child into their seat so the line can keep moving.

Please display your child's name card for us to readily call your student. We need you to display these for the ENTIRE YEAR please!

We appreciate your cooperation as it helps with traffic flow and increased student safety!

Kids who attended Lakeview Care for Kids; SCSD’s before and after school program- BASP has a BLAST this summer! The program enjoyed the nine week annual summer program by supporting parents and their 180 children this summer. Some highlights of the summer were traveling to Super Skate & Lost Island as well as many other destinations. The program was gifted a special lunch treat of sweet corn from local business, Stahle’s Peaches and Cream Sweet Corn. 🌽 Although the Beef Days parade was canceled due to weather, the staff had gathered and was ready to welcome all our children to participate in the BASP summer float. By the end of the summer it was no “mystery” we all had the best time!
