Camo Day today with Mrs. Livingston's kindergarten class!

The school day is done for students but Lakeview and SIS teachers are spending the afternoon going deeper in our learning around writing conferences and using student strengths to build on next steps in the writing process.

Here is Ms. Bahl's 3rd grade class yesterday for Character Day!

Check out Mrs. Funke's 1st grade class today!! What fun costumes. :)

We had a blast with pajama day yesterday! Happy Homecoming Week!

Ms. Krapfl's kindergarten class met their reading stamina goal this week. They got to have a SURPRISE reader read "The Little Mouse, The Red Ripe Strawberry, and The Big Hungry Bear." The kids got to disguise their own strawberries while they munched on eat some for a snack!

Nico challenged Mrs Westlund to a game of foosball today with his homemade foosball table.
Mrs Westlund ended up winning but both players had fun! :)
What a fun way to end the week.

Here are our kindergarten mathematicians hard at work in Ms. Kinnaird's class!
They are working in pairs on new math bins!
We love seeing our kiddos persisting through tricky problems and working together. Way to go Lakeview Leaders!

Check out Mrs. Wheeler's students working in our current New Perspectives math unit. They are working with partners on doubles facts while making patterns on beaded necklaces.
Look at that teamwork!

Homecoming is next week! Here are the dress up days for LV and SIS....GO SPARTANS!

Today we practiced our tornado drill! Everyone did an amazing job staying quiet and getting to a safe spot. We hope we don’t have a storm… but if we do Lakeview is ready!

Look at these writers in Mrs. Dibble’s first grade class! They were hard at work putting down ideas and revising their writing.

How cute are our Begindergarten Pirate friends on Pirate Day?!

Yesterday we wore blue to show support for our friend Nora and Apraxia Awareness! Nora, Lakeview loves you!

We appreciate our teachers a WAFFLE lot! Today our teachers enjoyed waffles prepared by an awesome group of parents. It was the best way to end the week. Thank you to our teachers, the parents who donated and those who served us! We are Lakeview LUCKY!

Today some of our Lakeview and Grant Wood staff attended a training titled “Your Students, My Students, OUR Students: Rethinking Equitable and Inclusive Classrooms”. We are excited to bring this learning back to the building!

Today Mrs. Neville's class earned lunch outside for having appropriate behaviors and working as a team. Way to go KA! You are all Lakeview Leaders!
