Every year 2nd graders work together to do a service project to spread some holiday cheer! This year students collected items and assembled birthday celebration kits to donate to the Solon food pantry as well as needed perishable items like milk and bread. Thank you 2nd grade!


Begindergarten had a great time decorating (and eating) their gingerbread houses! Things are very festive at Lakeview this week.




We love getting to play instruments in music!

Last night four 3rd graders presented their informational writing to the school board! Leo, Ryker, Braxon and Deacon you did a wonderful job reading and explaining your writing process!

Sydney Affolter from the University of Iowa Women's Basketball Team joined students at Lakeview for lunch today. The younger grades got to hear her read a story while the older grades got to have a Q&A. Our students did amazing and had so much fun! Thanks Sydney!

1B got to work with partners on adding twin sentences to our writing. This way they could predict what readers might have as a question and answer it before they even had a chance to ask it
