Our scientists in Mrs. Green’s class were working on identifying liquids and solids by their properties. Students had to make a determination and have reasonings to support their arguments. Some deep learning happening this morning!

Today our 2nd and 3rd graders watched a presentation from the University of Iowa Burn Prevention Program.
Talk to your student tonight about a two way fire escape plan for each room in your house and ask them what they learned today!

Camo Day today with Mrs. Livingston's kindergarten class!

The school day is done for students but Lakeview and SIS teachers are spending the afternoon going deeper in our learning around writing conferences and using student strengths to build on next steps in the writing process.

We had a blast with pajama day yesterday! Happy Homecoming Week!




Ms. Krapfl's kindergarten class met their reading stamina goal this week. They got to have a SURPRISE reader read "The Little Mouse, The Red Ripe Strawberry, and The Big Hungry Bear." The kids got to disguise their own strawberries while they munched on eat some for a snack!




Nico challenged Mrs Westlund to a game of foosball today with his homemade foosball table.
Mrs Westlund ended up winning but both players had fun! :)
What a fun way to end the week.

Today we practiced our tornado drill! Everyone did an amazing job staying quiet and getting to a safe spot. We hope we don’t have a storm… but if we do Lakeview is ready!
