The Solon CSD Board meeting tonight at 5:30pm will be closed physically to the public to comply with CDC and Public Health. The meeting will be accessible to ALL virtually.

Solon CSD is partnering with the Solon Food Pantry to provide meals to students during the closure. Distribution will begin Thursday, March 26, 4pm-8pm. If you want to help, Please Donate to the Pantry to help accommodate the increase in meals. (kids cereal, milk, juice boxes)
The Solon CSD will be providing information regarding Gov. Kim Reynolds recommendation for school closures at the end of the day on Monday, March 16, 2020.
Johnson County Homeland Security has scheduled a briefing today at 3PM to provide status and/or updates in response to the COVID-19 virus. The briefing will be followed by a Press Conference hosted by Dave Kock, Director of Public Health at 4:30.I will be attending the briefing and will provide you with any new information related to Solon.
Solon CSD staff and students are doing a great job implementing all preventative measures recommended by the Department of Public Health. We will continue to follow the lead and guidance of the Department of Public Health.
There has NOT been any student or staff member that has tested positive or displayed symptoms of the virus. We continue to communicate and take direction from the Johnson County and Iowa Department of Public Health. We are out front as any organization can possibly be. We have already been doing everything preventative that is recommended by the IDPH as we have been disinfecting schools weekly and in many areas, daily. As we receive more information, we will communicate.
