The month of September is Suicide Prevention Month. The Solon CSD will be hosting a screening of the documentary film My Ascension followed by a Q & A with Emma Benoit, the teen whose story the film is based on.
The event will be held in the Solon Center for the Arts Auditorium on Sunday September 7th from 1:00-3:00 PM.
The event is free and open to the public. All are welcome to attend!
This event is sponsored by the Mental Health Matters 5K in Memory of Jeff Vipond, a run hosted in memory of individuals who have died by suicide and other loved ones. All proceeds from the race benefit Foundations 2 Crisis Services and their work in mental health care and suicide prevention.
