Good morning!
On behalf of the music department, we wanted to share some exciting news as you begin to register for classes. Beginning next year, high school choir will be an open invitation program. This means that any student wishing to be involved in choir, or simply give choir a shot, can signup and join without having to audition! We believe music is a place where everyone is welcome and that everyone should experience at least once in their high school career. Studies show students in music have higher social-emotional health, earn better grades, and score higher on academic tests. Solon music students are also involved in every sport as well as volunteering and a variety of extracurricular clubs and activities. Contrary to what you may have heard, Solon music students are living proof that you can be in music and sports!

So, if you’re ready to make new friends, achieve at high levels and be a part of program with a history of excellence and success, all you need to do is register for the course entitled “Concert Choir” and you’re in!
