Lakeview Feature Teacher: Sam Milder
Mrs. Sam Milder is one of the second grade teachers at Lakeview. Before spring break, Mrs. Milder's students participated in book club discussions. She set her students up for success by implementing strong routines and teaching the book club mini-lessons to prepare students to have rich discussions with one another around books they choose to read. Mrs. Milder was able to have her students in book clubs while meeting with other students, which is a perfect high-density independent task! She has a great structure to her book clubs and classroom in general, and has created strong leaders and independent second graders who can have successful book talks and remain on task.
We are so lucky to have her at Lakeview!
