Feature teacher: Mickenzie Kack
Mickenzie Kack is one of Lakeview's new special education teachers this year. She is currently working on adjusting a literacy SDI routine to incorporate explicit phonics instruction as well as a strong connection to text and sight word routine. Ms. Kack is always flexible and willing to try anything! She asks questions and changes instructional strategies based on what her students and their data are showing her.
Ms. Kack and a general education teacher recently met about one of her students to strengthen Special Education-General Education connections, and encourage generalization of learned strategies across settings.
Ms. Kack is responsive, open-minded, and a wonderful addition to the Lakeview family!
