Title I services are provided to students in grades 1-4 in individual or small groups as supports for general education classroom reading instruction. Eligible students in first grade receive Title I services through Reading Recovery model. Informal reading assessments are used to assess phonemic awareness, sight word knowledge, oral fluency rate, and comprehension.
Parent Involvement Policy
The Solon Community School District Title I Program recognizes the importance of parent/family involvement in the planning and delivery of student support services. This plan encourages family involvement, supports school-home-community partnerships and considers involvement a vital link to a student's educational progress, success and well-being.
- Parent Involvement Policy
It is important that families and schools work together to help students achieve high academic standards. A process including teachers, families, students and community representatives determined roles and responsibilities to support student success in school and in life. The Solon Community School District Parent Compact identifies roles and responsibilities that we as partners will carry out to support student success.
