Welcome to the Solon Community School District!

The district serves students in the town of Solon and surrounding areas. The district has three buildings within the city limits: Lakeview Elementary (PK-4), Solon Middle School (5-8) and Solon High School (9-12).


Does the Solon Community School District offer preschool?

How do I know if my kindergarten student is ready for school?
According to Iowa state law, students must be at least five years old by September 15 in order to enroll in kindergarten. Knowing if a child is ready for school is a decision that parents need to make on an individualized basis.

Who do I contact about enrolling my student in Kindergarten?
