Solon Athletic Boosters

The objective of the Solon Athletic Boosters is to stimulate active interest in athletics in the Solon Community and to aid in the securing and improvement of the Solon Community's athletic teams and facilities. They have been in existence since 1965 and in the last 13 years, have donated over $200,000 to school and community individuals and organizations.

Solon Dollars for Scholars

Solon Dollars for Scholars was organized in 1993 to provide scholarships to all Solon graduates who choose to continue their post-secondary education. Selection criterion considers academics, school and community involvement and financial need. A volunteer board guides Solon Dollars for Scholars and the funds raised are awarded in scholarships. The goal of the organization is to enhance the opportunity for every high school graduate to benefit from post secondary education.

Solon Education Foundation

The Solon Education Foundation (SEF) is a not-for-profit IRS section 501(c)3 organization independent from the Solon Community School District. We are governed by a volunteer board of directors whose mission is to aid the district in fulfilling its own goals of excellence and achievement in student education and service. We pursue this mission by providing grant funding for educator-initiated projects within the school district and by providing nonprofit infrastructure support for partner organizations.

Solon Scrip

Raise Funds for Solon Spartans and Stick to Your Budget!

The PTOs for each of the three Solon Community School District buildings have partnered with Great Lakes Scrip Company to provide a service to our community and raise funds to support our students. This is an ongoing fundraiser that involves NO SELLING!

Scrip is a term that simply means substitute money. Scrip participating retailers agree to sell gift certificates to our organization at a discount. Member families buy the certificates for full face value, redeem them for full face value, and our schools keep the difference as revenue.

The best thing about Scrip is that is costs you nothing! It just requires a little bit of planning and a slight change in spending habits. Everyone has to buy groceries and gas, and children constantly need new clothes. Just spend your regular shopping dollars with Scrip at the stores that participate in the program.

Hundreds of nationally known vendors are part of Scrip including Wal-Mart, BP, Gap, Barnes & Noble, and many more. There are many ways for you to use Scrip certificates for your needs. The sooner you begin participating, the more our schools will benefit!

Solon Spotlight

All parents and guardians with students involved in the Solon Community School District's performing arts programs are members of Solon Spotlight. This includes vocal music, instrumental music, and drama. Spotlight offers financial support and volunteers that expand performing arts opportunities for Solon students.
