In the fall of 2017, Solon High School brought back Industrial Technology courses to its curriculum through the addition of course selections in the Building Trades. From the scene shop adjacent to the new Center for Arts, a program has been developed to allow students to explore through hands-on shop work, classroom assignments, and personal projects what it means to design and create creative, real world products.

The Introduction to Architecture, Construction and Engineering course offers a chance to use shop tools to fabricate a project of the students' choice. Included here are some examples of recent student creations. We hope to allow students to learn about skilled trades through individual experiences and exploration.
