Help wanted!

Hello Solon Parents!

We are reaching out to see if you might be interested in sharing about your career with our freshmen, sophomores, and juniors. We are looking for speakers to share information about your career, the educational training path necessary for your line of work, and any other information you believe students need to know about the pathway to your occupation.

As part of our district Career Readiness Plan, the SHS ICAP (Individual Career and Academic Plan) Team is continually working on ways to help our students become more career ready.  This includes activities that help expose and prepare our students for careers.

Our event is planned for Friday, January 3 from 1:00 p.m. - 3:15 P.M. at Solon High School. This will be a typical career fair.  You will be set up at a table and students who are interested in learning more about your career will come and ask you questions. There will be two consecutive rounds of students: the 9th and 11th graders first and the 10th graders second.

If this date does not work out for you, might you be willing to contribute in the future? E.g. hosting students at your job site, practicing job related interviews, speaking to larger groups about your career, and/or even being involved with our ICAP planning committee?

Please get back to us is by December 10th if you are interested in participating. If you are able to help us out we will provide talking points for you to share during your discussions with students.  Please fill out this attached form:
